Bev Ecm!
The AVR-X man said he will release the non-autoroll fix for Bev 3100
tonight. He was gonna release autoroll for BEV but BEV introduced a new keyroll EMM, bogus packets and new data type 22 01 81. FTAs are out and plastic users are forced to remove blockers. Looks like BEV will fight off FTA with datastream changes while Dish will pursue firmware upgrades. mili |

Copy and paste:
Originally, they used an EMM 42 for key changes. Now, they have embedded the EMM 42 into an EMM A4. So, the cam decrypts EMM A4 and finds it must decrypt EMM 42. The decryptions are pretty simple, but one must ask, why would they do this? See the decrypted key change EMM below: 35C9F154E9F2F961090113DB000114DC7789 A4 070000000042001006080010 42 0010060800102C162603B5938716A4253919BDCA6B52A40700 00000042001046080010 42 0010460800107D17DF9879CFBDC5990788DA82C99A6E000000 000000 From this packet we derive Idea Key 0: 2c162603b5938716a4253919bdca6b52 Idea Key 1: 7d17df9879cfbdc5990788da82c99a6e I think the answer is pretty simple. Everyone has to use blocker code on their 102 cards or they will get updated to Rev 242 if they allow a B1 EMM to go through! Nobody can get into a 242 cam yet, not even Penga! Now, if one removes the blocker code and allows EMM A4 to come down, they will simply embedd a B1 EMM within the A4 to upgrade your card to Rev242. If you keep the blocker, then you will have to put up with hourly key changes! Looks like Bev is trying to permanently lock us out of their 102 cams! If they do and we can't get the latest IDEA and RSA keys, we will all be watching black screens! If you have a Bev 102 card, I recommend you remove it from the stream right now until the coders can figure something out. mili |

u can add emms to be passed quite easily. im rolling and so are plenty others with blockers on bev using just the 42 and a4 emm ATR: 3F FF 95 00 FF 91 81 71 FF 47 00 44 4E 41 53 50 31 30 32 20 52 65 76 32 34 32 62 CAM Type: ROM102 Rev242 Setting IFS Provider: Bell ExpressVu Reading Card image... Card Image Read Successfully. (Retries: 11) Total Read Time: 00:00:50.5526912 and heres a nice past from eeprom $9040=42A40000000000000000000000000000 and no its not actually rev 242 just masked those emms being passed i have autoroll Last edited by iLLNESS; 02-13-2006 at 10:44 PM.. |

I really need help.
My 3100 BEV was down yesterday afternoon. since then all I get is the black screen. The channel guide opens up fine but no images. I have re-programmed the AVR-X numerious times to no avail. I just observed the firmware on my receiver was updated to 537 but it is still running on 102 REV 240 I have tried two Avr-x, non of them works. same Avr-x works perfect on my dishnet, so the card is not the issue. I have also used the software version 2.0.2 for the Avr-x non that helped. I have rebooted the receiver several times too, unplugged and replug it back no show I really need help, I'm a newbie in this. thank you. |
