No more credit card payment option in my store.
PayZip my credit card processor was put uot of business by Mastercard who closed their account claiming they are a third party payment processor when in fact they are not. Depending of what news I get in the next couple of days I might ask you who bought goods from me in the past 3 months and paid by a credit card to help me out, the method I will email you if and when the time comes. I am trying to find another processor who is as professional and confidential as PayZip was but until I find one the only payment I can accept is money orders. To prevent any baseless guesswork the full email I have received from them this morning is pasted below:
"Dear Payzip Merchant, It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Payzip's merchant accounts have been closed down by our acquiring banks. The accounts were closed down due to pressure from Mastercard, who claims that Payzip is a third party payment processor. Asiadebit/Payzip has gone to great lengths to prove that this is not the case, but in the end Mastercard chose to close the accounts. On top of the closure, they will fine our company, Asiadebit Pte Ltd (Singapore), 2,500 USD per day dating back since the day we started operating Payzip. This adds up to several million dollars. We have no other choice but to cease operations effective immediately. We understand that this will also have huge implications on your business as there are outstanding funds due to you. Be assured that we have tried every possible way to avoid this and to maintain our business as well as yours, but to no avail. Our current standpoint is to counter sue Mastercard, but that is a process that can take years and with no guarantee of success. We are not the only payment processing company that experienced this problem. Several companies such as ours have ended up in a similar fashion as you might know from before. Words can't describe how terrible we feel about this situation. If there is anything we can do to help you out, such as getting a new merchant account, please let us know and we will do the best we can. If we get any funds released, we will of course disperse it back to you. The chances for that to happen at this point look pretty grim though. Sincerely, The Payzip Team" So for now no credit card payment. mili |

wow.. that sucks the big one. I hope you did not get screwed too bad. This is just another way Mastercard makes their money. Fucken greedy corporations.

Unfortunately Mili, you have no chance of recovering anything from PayZip. Due to the nature of your business, if I were you, I would stick to international money orders for the duration of your current venture. If that is not an option for you, you may want to look into some of these IPSP services that may help you obtain credit card processing again. hxxp://www.merchantseek.com/index.shtml. Good Luck.

I am not mad at PayZIp, if anything they will go bankrupt. Yes MOs are always an option but man the hassle involved turns many off.

Beside mony Orders, you can use Paypal to receive payments since it covers the biggest countries in the word including US and Canada, most of poeple prefer Paypal over those credit card busters. however they charge about 3% a transaction plus international transfer fees.

Mili... I read your message about people who bought from you in the last 3 months helping you out. I feel for you... you sold the stuff and shipped it out. But can you seriously see anyone stung by buying an AVR-X turning around and paying for it all over again just to help you out?
The AVR only works for 4 hours at a stretch in the 501's which makes these PVRs useless. Perhaps if the damn thing actually worked... but with the present problems is it realistic to ask people to pay twice for garbage? Not trying to give you a hard time... just a bit of a reality check for you. I'll make you a deal. You get Magician to get my AVR working and I will personally guarantee to pay you $109 all over again and you don't even have to ship me another card. You have my word on it. --Db |

Its like this guys, if you play you pay. Mili sold a product that got your TV back. At the time, the AVR-X worked while other testing devices were speculated as working. Mili did not make you or anyone else buy a AVR-X.
PayZip's problem has nothing to do with the AVR-X. Mili used PayZip and lost money. The topic of the thread is Mili -vs- PayZip and is also an explanation of why Mili can't process credit cards at the moment. There are buttons that lets you start threads about anything you desire to talk about at the top of each forum. They work! Maybe a detailed explanation is needed to explain how to use those buttons. Its apparent that most of the members here that purchased an AVR-X can't comprehend how to start bitch threads, much less learn how to program an AVR-X. This is Mili's thread about his pitfall with PayZip. It would be a decent thing for everyone to post comments and suggestions to Mili about this problem that he has encountered.

So, how far back you have not been paid by payzip? I bought an AVR-X no long ago (1 month) and it cleared at my bank.

In your case and in ************'s case, its my opinion that you read more into Mili's statement, asking for help in the future, than actually exist. If you have decided to be a trader and join ************ and take there side, then you should go back over there and do your bashing. Mili said he may ask for help in the future. This does not imply that Mili will ask for double payments for goods sold in the past. Any person that deals with credit card processors faces these pitfalls and are informed of the potential for great loss when it comes to high risk internet transactions.

I don't know what kind of help Mili is going to ask. I had assumed that he would be asking for some kind of financial help to help recoup his losses. But you are right, that was my assumption and nothing that he said directly. One thing I do know for sure... Mili doesn't need you to fight his battles for him. If he thought I was bashing him he'd say so himself. And just so you know Mili, I really do know a bit how you feel. Small business guy gets slammed by shit like this... it just makes you sick. Hang in there guy. --DB |

OK...
I am far from bankrupt, what PayZip holds is 15% of 6 months' worth of sales and 4 week's worths of total sales. I will not want anyone to double pay for anything that would make no sense. IF and it is a big IF still I will ask people to help is to charge back on their payments then send a money order when they got their money's back. That is a last ditch effort. I am in the process of setting up another way to accept credit cards and it will take time. If you got AVR-X problems post them in the appropriate forums I will delete bitching from this thread which has nothing to do with hardware anyway. I am not replying to emails cause I am still not sure what steps if any I will take. I am here to stay though so those of you celebrating my demise have to wait a little longer. I am talking to PayZip and they said last night there is a chance they stay in business but process only in Euros when shit is cleared up. Negotiations are in place so it is not a total loss yet. mili |

Mili, I understand your problems might either stem from your violation of payzip policy concerning: http://www.payzip.com/restricted.htm
Payzip List of Restricted Products / Services The following products and services are not allowed to be sold: Satellite signal decoding products, cards and card programming Or payzip ignoring the rules for your account and was found out by MasterCard but either way I don't think it is appropriate to involve members of this site in your problems with PayZip. I have already e-mailed you with the request not to be notified of any scheme or resolution that would involve my participation concerning me or my credit card. Good Luck!!! |

Damn mili, didn't you have a problem about a year ago with credit card processing? I remember you asking me to charge back something that I puchased from you and pay again. I haven't bought anything recently, but I wouldn't hesitate doing it again.
