I was in the understanding they were running off 101 rom, but faking themselves to be 102's. Could be wrong though - no doubt there will be fixes coming out for those programs running off 101 code so they work on 102.

Satman, download AIOclone. It is in a thread called one click dt08. It will tranfer the info from your rom101 or rom102 to the pfg that you use for the atmega. It will also do a rom10 patch. That way you can use a rom1010 rom102 rom10 and atmega on your own info in the same receiver. Awsome program. Still bugs with it, but it works. It's on penga's site rom10x

if they swap rom 101, they can change keys as fast as Bev, and do their stunts, which for a rom 102 and beyond wont cause any trouble if you are subbed, but I guess emulation will be affected somehow unless code is optimized.

I have read on other forums, where charlie subs with 102s have reported seeing the swap nag too on their Rom 102s. Cansomeone with access to subbed rom 102 let us know if they have the nag? Also i read that sofar the meeage only shows on subs with dish network 301 receivers but do not know? Also there is post there that sates the Rom 102s will be swapped by 5/11/2006 (getting 5/11 nag). I do not know whats going on but I hope for a hacked S01 and S02 cards to continue watching charlie on FTAs.

if what you are saying is true, then they must be really sure of this risky move consequences, Dish cant afford doing these two swaps in a year, besides, it is a much greater investment to do a 102 swap, maybe greater than what they could earn by people who subscribe to them if there wouldnt be any hack. Picture this more than 8 million subscription are using rom 102's. But I do know if you want an upgrade, you wont receive a 102. And if you have a 101, they will probably send you a sw-02 or something like that. so they are trying to limit rom 102 cards existence, but it really is too late, they thought it was unhackable with the same intensity as the guys who believed the titanic was unsinkable. btw i got a hacked rom 102, with no nags, cant tell what is going on a real subbed.

I was moved out to a remote site recently and was given a Dish Pro DP301 / :010 by a friend. I currently use a Cool Sat receiver but would like to get the Dish Pro up and running instead. I'm about as close to a brick as you can get about all this stuff so please forgive my lack of knowlage. Is this doable and if so what do I need to make this happen?

I knew from day 1 Rom 101 was going to at question, just looking at the Capacity difference made more sense to Aim for Rom102, However the 101 does have more space than the Rom10. Meaning there is a good chance the ROM101 will be around and working for awhile just not with the conventional programing. looking at the Rom10to102 I am starting to believe the code can be rewritten and compacted possibly supporting autoroll, but then there's always the 768 bit attack that may put a monkey in the wrench.

I seriously doubt that dish would not use the 768 bit encryption feature. If they skip out on it then they are bigger idiots any one of us could hope for.

not its a sw02, put that card away for the time being as there is no crack for it.

I would keep everything you never know with this hobby.
I think it should be possible to emulate 102 on the 101 card and the rom 10.
I think the focus should be to get the most recent rom110 cards reported to be compromised in Europe to emulate all predecessors. We need to get all the inside info so that there will not be any down time.
As far as the 768 encryption what is the point if we get the encryption algorithym.
