I asked the AVR-X man (as I don;t have BEV here set up) and it seems ther eis no problem withthe AVR-X with BEV.
When the keys roll and you get black screen, you should should remove the card and re-insert. Sometimes you have to do this or the card will not roll.

The last two times I have had to reboot my 3100-10 bev reciver 4times to get keys to roll. Not to big a deal. But i think I better build up my contacts very soon.

Hmm.. Well bev didn't work with my avr-x - so I guess my IRD must be shot I didn't try Charlie - too lazy to jtag the unit to stream an update. Since nothing else works I think some whoring of it is in line. I don't have anything to lose at this point in time.

Quick question though about the header ribbon.. Can you safely program the card with that still attached and the IRD unplugged or should the ribbon be disconnected before programming the card?

My idea is to put this card internal, to ensure good communication with the shitty pads (as that has been rumored to be the complete cause of no keyrolls - reworking the pads didn't help) , hide the hideous ribbon loop around and this is the only concern I have as of now. Since its inside it'll be a bitch to unplug.. If no one knows I will figure it out eventually, just thought if someone did it would benefit me a lot.

how about asking the avr-x guy if he has though of running support for the models that are jtag-less like the 7X00

I find that a simple reboot by unplugging & replugging the power to receiver will get it autoroll after a key change. Save some wear & tear on the card contacts. I'll probably plug the receiver into a powerbar which i can just switch on/off as needed to save wear on the power plug/cable as well.

It works, but I just find it annoying to have to do this when all the FTA receivers are auto-rolling w/o a hitch.

Well Mili if the avr-x guy thinks that nothing is wrong with his software
"Just pull out card and re-insert" what a bunch of bull shit then
you might as well manually enter the keys because half of the time
it only works after re-programming the card anyway. I have 20
out there and always a pain when keys roll some work better than
others EASY OUT for this guy, for plastic do we pull out the card
no so it is time to find some good coders to come up with
freeware that will put the avr-x guy to shame MAGIC was the same
way why same GUY!!!!!!!

Mili, ask the Avr-x man why you cannot even use avr-x 2.02 for BVE using the 6000 receiver. You cannot even load the software. thanks.

my 301-010 coverted to 3100 for bev has never autorolled. as long as i plug the keys in, it is ok.

Hi there, i was getting aquiring satellite signal, so I soldered the contacts, now all i get is Guide , channel and then blach screen??

I am still waiting to use autoroll on my bev 6000

When will the new software 2.03? becoming out to support the 6000 receiver and maybe fix the software so that current bev users won't have to pull the cards out

Another unhappy 3100 here ... 2.0.2 has rolled for me once out of about five key changes. Pulling the card out and in may work occasionally to roll the keys but it is faster to reprogram! The card is either not trying to pull keys down most of the time or is pulling down fake keys and thinking they're real??

I am now finally installing the AVR-X on my BEV 3100, and I get the error "Your Receiver has not yet been authorized" I thought these cards worked on Ex-Seubbed and Non Subbed receivers. I jtagged it, got back in the stream now have the E537 Update and still no go. Reporgrammed with newest keys and still the same thing. Anything I am missing???

I take it you have "issues" with milli.

Note* I work at a Big 3 company, and I know some people who constantly bid from plant to plant because they dislike the plant they are in. The foreman, the general foreman, the superintendent, the rules, the shiftwork, the job, the meetings, etc. etc.

I tell them repeatedly, "there's no such thing as a perfect workplace." There's only certain places better than others.

Same thing goes for stores, sellers, etc.

I have not bought anything from Milli, but if I do, I hope it will go well.
Understand, he has MANY customers, hence, he is busy with the store, the forum, his private messages, emails, family matters etc.

If this is about a transaction that went badly, please explain it. Try to resolve it without attempting to take Milli down, the members here down, and any customers with transactions in process.

Milli seems straight up to me, in a business that has known few good and honest sellers.

I hope your venting helps you relax. Your 1 post indicates a possibility that your a member who has been banned and is trying to come back in revenge.
Please relax.

Dish already knows of Milli, any satellite company with signal integrity does. Your "ratting" him out, can endanger you more than him if they attempt to go after you as a buyer....unless you have a deal in writing which protects you...which I doubt.
