DP311 and DP811 blocker and instructions are here
Here are the instuctions and files that are needed to get the 311/811's going. The pics do not match exactly what the instructions say. The setup for hex workshop and a key gen is included. Also the N2Edit and setting ini.
http://dssftp.com/files/index.php?m=category&CATID=46 Open N2Edit. Click on green folder to reset card. Click on tools and then unlock card. Type in this password and then click on unlock. BAADFEEDDEADBEEF Wait until the message says unlocked successfully. Click on the blue folder to read card. After card has been read click on the file tab and then save as and name the file whatever the # on the receiver is and click save. (Number69) Open Hex Workshop and click on the file tab and open the file you just saved. Scroll down and highlight line 4600 through line 4800 by holding down on the left clicker and drag it to line 4800. Then right click on the highlighted area and then click on cut. Go up to line 2D00 and right click at the start of “0C01” and then click on paste. You should see several lines of zeros appear in red . You are done. Click on the file tab and then Save your new bin as "NEW" with the # on the receiver. (NewNumber69) Open the blocker and push Ctrl>C to highlight and then right click on the highlighted area and click copy. Open N2Edit, Click on tools and then click on apply patch. Right click in the patch area and Paste the blocker there. Click on apply patch. Write to card by clicking on the red folder. Done. milil

Milli,
is there a how to with Nagramaster, since N2edit does not work for me. I always have to use NM loader version. I just bought another 311 also. |

guess its pretty simple even without a how to with NM loader version....sounds straight forward. I will try this with NM loader version.

Milli,
I noticed that after adding the blocker to the 311 image it goes from rev 283 to 286....is this okay. I have not written it to the card yet. I was just making the changes first. |

you can narrow hex workshop on the right margin so it shows addresses in lines of 10. I cant find out where they want me to patch at 2D00 cuz I don't have a 0C01 in that line, I have a 0C00 so I put it there, then I get error when patching blocker. I need clarification on address, not text. whre are you lighting?

Well I also get the same thing as Crazy....I get an error with the cam ids.....same thing as Crazy.....I noticed that if I used the original bin from that 311 it patched fine....but when I use the current image that I am using right now and save, then make the changes to that one...then when I go to patch I get cam ids not the same.....
If i open NM then the original image of the 311 then make changes then patch....no problem patching and no errors...I dont understand the difference...i bet something has changed the original bin...for ex. the patches or may be even charlie....but the current image cant be changed without getting any errors after patching.... i hope lightning can shed some light on the subject!!!! |

I started pasting at 2D00 and it took from a clean 283 bin, I do not know if it works yet, I am doing it for a friend of mine so I emailed it to him, he hasn't gotten back to me yet. but I got it to patch w/o errors.

Patch Does Work
Yo,
The line a 2D00 does infact start with 0C00. That was a typo. If you are getting a camid error then it is one of two things. You either did not use the blocker mili supplied or you used penga blocker and did not disable the cam info at $30D8. Put a ; in front of it and that will disable it. Also, do not patch the bottom half of the V28E to the 311/811. Only the top half is neccessary. We have used this on several 311/811's and all are working fine. viper |

Hex Workshop
Yo,
To make things easier to find in HW you might want to narrow the field to 16 bits per line like in N2Edit. You can do that by putting your curser on the line that seperates the two fields. You should see an arrow pointing left and right. Left click and hold down and move the curser to the left untill you see only eight blocks of two bits each. That will make finding the address's a lot easier. viper |

Easier Way
Yo,
You can also use N2Edit to remap the eeprom. Simply open the bin, highlight everything from the A500 to the bottom. Then right click on the highlighted area and click on copy as hex. Then right click at the start of A700 and click on paste. Patch blocker. done. viper |

Yes N2edit highlight everything from A500 down to about B900 or to the end of your tiers and data and then right click and copy as hex then go back to A700 and click on that line and turn it blue and then right click and paste. Then patch the new blocker. This moves everything that starts at A500 and down to now starting at A700 and then down. This is what needt to be done to work with this new 28v blocker. You can use hexworkshop or hexedit or any hex editor or Nagra2edit.

In order for my patch to take....i have to add a lot of " ; " to alot of millis patch.
what i am doing is comparing the image of my current 311 rev 281, to the patch and looking at the data that it wants to apply to my current image. Anything that it wants to overwrite i add a ";". I do this after I have moved the data from A500 all the way to A700. Otherwise it keeps saying that cam ids not matching. Is this okay to do...I just dont want to get locked out of my cam. I already fubrd one 311. also the begining of the patch i did this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f so that it would not mess with my current info. can someone tell me if this is okay??? V28E for 311/811
Go to www.dssftp.com and then go to the ROM1OX BINS AND PATCHES section. You will find the new blocker there that has been modded for the 311/811 and is ready to go. Just move your data space, apply the blocker and it should work fine.

well...just tried it again....this time just by just doing it exactly as posted by viper...and still no go.....
what i did this time, was i only moved the all data space from A500 down, then pasted at A700. Then i applied the milli blocker and again....cam ids do not match. And this is doing only the data space copy and paste. This is why I modified the patch not to write over certain data, so that I would not get this.... does anyone have any ideas??? im also using Nagramaster loader v...dont know if this has something to do with it? When I follow Mili's instructions on my 311 using NagraMaster, I get the following error when I go to write to the card, "NagraMaster can not write this bin as it contains code in the write patch area. Please check location 9A40 for EEPROM data. Please write another image to your card." Can anyone explain what I am doing incorrectly? Thanks.

I don't know what you are doing wrong, but the instructions are very simple, highlight from A500 all the way down, copy as a hex, and paste starting at A700, then use the blocker(copy from the notepad and paste it on the apply patch window with N2, not nagra master) and write to the receiver.

I believe nagramaster is trying to install temporary backdoor patch at A940, with current blocker and base bin we have info at that part of image. so it won't install patch

Patch
Yo,
I have run into a couple of 311's that came up with provider unknown after applying the patch. We fixed this by starting over and patching the bin with the tiers first then moving the data info and then apply the V28E. No problem after that. viper |

The reason I am using NagraMaster is because I have a 311 with an imbeded 102 and must read it with a Nexus loader/unlocker. I can't get nagra2edit to read card with the Nexus.
