942 Rom 103 Rev380_ Need Help
Trying to find a diagram for the 942 show rom chip location and signal lines locations. Does anyone know where I can find this info?
Also is the rom103 rev380 unlockable? |

I think this is what you are looking for.
Rom103 Rev380 is unlockable, however if this is not an ex-subbed unit you will not get the IRD info off the cam. As a result you won't be able to use the receiver. |

Thanks for the diagrams.
Do you know of how to link for removing the chip? I was on some site which I don't remember where. Yes it is an ex-sub from flea bay. |

It is the same as any i-cam chip. Do a search for 311/322/522 and the removal process will be the same. You will have to heat it up with an hot air gun, and at reflow temperature, you pull it off. Then you will have to mount it on an waffer card, and glitch it. If going this route you will then have to wire up the card slot to make the waffer card work.
Another method is to leave the cam on the board and glitch and program it on the mainboard. Either way works, just depends what you feel more comfortable doing with your skills and tools. |

I recommend pulling the chip, have done several 311, 322, 522, 625s now and pulling the chip is a breeze with a heat gun, (I have a Wagner power stripper gun),
put chip on any old board, magic card, Atmega, etc, makes it a lot easier to deal with. |

Thanks guys, I spent a lot of money for my 942. Trying not to make it a doorstop.
What model of Wagner? |
