Hi this is my first post I am new to this whole card using method. I have a new 522 that has never been touched. My first Q: is there a way to programm the internal rom 103 chip that is in the reciever if so please help. If not do i have to remove that chip and put it on a card? Or can i use a rom 102 card that is unlock? I dont know how to use the rom 102 card they gave it to mee free and said it was unlocked. Thanks in advance.

how do you find out what the rev of the onboard chip is also can you post a link to more about onboard glitching. Thanks

If it is an exsub, and glitchable, you can either leave it on board or BGA card it and wire card slot, my preference is the latter.

If it is virgin, you will need to clone the flash chip to an ex sub unit, not an easy task....

what would be the best way i think the rom 103 is a virgin as it has never been touched at all.

If the receiver has never been subbed the chip contains no pertenant info, so the flash needs modified.

I don't think you can open a 30B yet......and if you can it is a high loop possibility....

If it's at rev 38B, there are two possibilities:

1. It is already unlocked and blockered to rev 38B. All you would need is the backdoor password and you're into the card with your ISO. Talk to the seller about this possibility.

2. It has been stream updated to rev 38B. This rev is unlockable at this time.

In either scenario, the card is definitely not virgin! If the seller represented your iCam 103 as virgin, then he/she, at best, misrepresented its condition, or at worst, flat out lied to you.

im sorry i should of been more clear i got the 522 box from DN when i had there service then cancled and they left it with us. So i dont think the internal 103 chip has been touched but if i understood worng pleae advice. how can i see if it was stream updated to rev 38b. Also are those my only to options

Okay, this has been a misunderstanding in terminology. A virgin cam is a cam that has never been activated for service and has the same internal constitution as a brand-new cam from Kudelski.

No, rom 103 rev 38B is not glitchable at this time. Put it away for later use, and hopefully a script for that revision is made public in the near future.
