Question XBOX copying/burning

Hi, I have an xbox that I bought a year ago with a mod chip and everything I need already installed so I can play burned games. I always downloaded the games and burned them and they work great. I rented a game called Fable, and read about how to copy it to my computer. I successfully did this using craxtion 4. Now when I try to convert the .xbe files with craxtion I get a microsoft.net framework error. Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. I have microsoft .net framework 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 installed. How can I fix this?

Thanks,
hacker

use a program called qwix, it will make an ISO for you. no conversion or anything needed.

it works great if you use avalaunch as your dash on the xbox while ripping. transfers the ISO file rather than individual files, so quicker rip time.

I thought the QWIX application only worked with the AvaLaunch dashboard. Is that no longer the case? It's been a while since I messed with XBOX.

It worked for me with XBMC. Catch was it couldn't create the ISO on the xbox side, so the transfers were no different than a manual FTP over.. but the program on the computer side of things would create the ISO file for you while it was transferring - small benefit over a straight through FTP.

You only get an advantage when you use both QWIX and AVALAUNCH together.

i tried making a xbow 360 copy of my resident evil 5, blindwrite went through it process and made a copy, funny thing was it was only 5.31mb in size but it makes me use a DVD+or - R disc which hold 4.7GB, so i'm wasting space. Now when i put the copy in my 360 it give me a white screen saying "To play this disc, put it in a Xbox 360 console" WTF??
So i'm lost now dont know what to do...

you successfully copied the video sector of the disc, which is all any computer/dvd player can read. to make a true backup you need all sectors of the disc including the security sectors .

to do so:
you need a 1.60 flashed xbox 360 drive with an 0800 disc connected to the computer
OR you need a sammy kreon flashed drive

use schtrom360Xtract or Xbox Backup Creator and in 10 minutes you'll have a properly created ISO file.

You need dual layer dvd to burn xbox 360...if you have the image find xbox backup creator and imageburn to burn 360 games...must have a dl dvd burner. xbox backups are easiest (as stated) with copying to hard drive, ftp'ing to pc, and using a compiler, (gdfimage is the best one...) create the ISO and burn as usual...use high quality media no matter what....any verbatim is good.

Agreed, Verbatim MKM-003 are very good dye discs across the board with little problems in almost all writers and 360 readers. MKM-001 are not as good as they are low speed but still quite good quality and low problems. Next best are TDK which are branded blank MBI - but be warned they are very burner specific.

For those who don't know MBI is who makes verbatim discs, and market their own dye as TDK and Ricoh (not Ritek).

I wrote a blank in my 223F Samsung burner did a driveSpeed test on it for quality (with a bit of modification to samsung drive) Quality was 98% across the board, very impressed with overall quality. Using my LG burner they were more like 10-30% with same discs. Both drives were up to date on the firmware and supported all write speeds possible. I was unable to verify a LG verbatim write, but since I had no issues previous I presume the quality is standard 70-90%

Basically your writer matters as much as your media does too. Get a quality samsung, pioneer, plexor drive. samsungs and pioneers are like $25 shipped these days and provide a very good write.

there is no way period. There has been no modchip ever needed for the xbox 360. You do however need to modify some circuitry which most people can't do and would rather a chip as they are EZ
The console needs to be modded to play burnt games

Your other solutions is the 5-finger discount aisle at wal-mart...
