trying to catch 129
hi good evening fellows. if i am putting this thread on the wrong post please forgive me. i am new with this. fellows it is going on 4 days now and i am spending most of my vacation trying to find 129 satellite. when i go to peak angles and i try to find 129 to catch my satellite it is there. but when i put in my zip code to get the peak angle and the skew it disappears. and i am only seeing 61.5, 119,110 148,121 and so on. but 129 is not there. i am trying to catch it no the dish 300 and also 500 but no luck. i am in 61.5 area. can someone tell me the settings to catch 129 in my neighborhood.. i was told there was a lot of HD channels on that bird. thats why i am trying to catch it. i am setting up sky walker-1. i will greatly appreciate this. it is very hot on the roof. and u fellows know when we guys start something we need to finish LOL!

set scew to 121,your up and down to round 35,and look to hit the 119.if your dish has the lnb for the 129,youll get the 110 and 129 when you hit the 119 bird.good luck

If you can get it, I bet It will only be on the d-300 on an elevation of about 23 degrees +/- based on the other info you provided. Look at where the d-500 is pointed when you are on the 119 & 110 and go about 15 degrees +/- to the west. These are just guesses, but I bet I'm close on the elevation of the d-300. Good luck !!

Yeah, you can get 129 on the east coast with a dish 300. had 129 just the other day. Try this, go to hxxp://satcalculator.freehostia.com, plug in your sat 129 and use your zip code, and caculate and you get, elevation, azimuth and lots of info. Get yourself a pretty good compass and take the magnetic reading from the compass. This should allow you to sight the area of your sat, If you can see obstructions in the direction and elevation then that is most likely your problem.
