easy..
open JungleFlasher Firmware Tool 32 tab Load Source Firmware (your original 46DG firmware) Open Targe Firmware (your ix1.5-sam.bin) hit spoof source to target (target should show Spoofed As: Hitachi 0046 or soething, should be obvious and in bold) Save to File -> save as SamReplacement.bin or something you can remember. Now you have your firmware. flash as you'd like. I suggest using the other bit of the program to proceed. Hit MTK Flash 32 tab new non-before modded sammy, hit Sammy UnLock. if its been modded pop in the enable0800 disc or do the tray thing. jungleflasher 43 will tell you what you need to do depending on what was on it before when you press the sammy unlock button. When done, Hit Intro/Device ID, should populate the Flash Chip properties.. if not, you don't have read/write properties to the drive so try again. Once you have Flash chip properties, hit write.. it will erase then write each bank, then do an overall verification. put in console. Send me hitachi drive to fix :P |

the tsop firmware has incorrect master checksum.... it goes into recovery mode and eject dont work. modeB you are getting confused... sam has no modeB... only hitachis. if you cant detect a sammy you likely corrupted the firmware and need to remove epoxy and physically dump the chip. only hitachi & samsung have no recovery. benq & liteon have a vendor mode where you can program the unit in any state.
you can also use dosflash to do the unit in dos... unsure if you need power cycling though. |

Recovery Mode can be entered if the firmware is patched incorrectly..same as sammys. Once in recovery mode, u are stuck there until you recover the proper firmware image.
You have to pull and reprogram TSOP externally or use something like a chillimod to fix the chip for programming again... sammys are expecially bad due to their epoxy. |

could brick an hitachi countless ways.. generally its
1- Bad flash 2- not restoring before reflashing. they are a different breed. if you don't know what you are doing, don't do an hitachi. you will fuck it up. Least the chips are easy to pull and reprogram off the board.. not like the LiteOns ![]() |
