The power supplies in a number of the 420 and up IRD's from RCA are to say the LEAST, not very well done. I wish I had a nickle for every one of these I've fixed (not really...I've really only repaired three). Just replace the caps, resistors and rectifier with similar ones, and you'll be fine. I've found different components in every one I've repaired (i.e. 10volt to 25 volt to 50 volt caps in the same locations). I don't know what the hell they were doing on the assembly line with these things, but some quality control engineer should be taken to Bagdad and....oh never mind.

Ooooohhhh...that's gonna be a problem...again, I've seen 430's with only about 1000 difference in the serial # and they had different components in them. They are very "NON Critical" in terms of value. If I find anything...I'll post here.
