I'm just setting back watching right now. I got a bit irritated and I needed to calm down before I said something that was unwarrented. I've learned that from past experiences. I have had to admit to myself that Mili's AI script works wonderfully, for me, and no matter what I try to say or do, it may not work for everyone. So, I just sit back and watch TV a bit and wait till it is time. I wish the script was working as well for you guys as it is for me. I have it on all my families recievers and ALL are working superbly. BUt, I would like a bit of entertainment myself. I think I was ticking people off instead of helping, which was not my intent at all, I just wanted everyone to get it going too.

Ohhhhhhhh noooooo
your not ticking people off it must be your imagination playing tricks on you. I love watching you help people out. I must say the same as hmmm (Rebel I think) you should write a book called Programing for DUMMIES lol you are a great help here. I have been running great also except for some freezing today on defiant 2 but got the new one running fine tonight notta problem yet.

You know what really sucks. Mili gonna publish a new version and my honory ass is gonna have to try it out. Even though mine is working without a glitch. Just the tester in me I guess. Not sure bout a book. I tend to be opinionated and foget that others may not see it as I do. So, i just sit back and wait for someone who asks for help for now.

I know what you mean. Did you see the post where someone is looking for a hughes 6th gen. receiver reboot? I could not find the answer anywhere.

Budreaux, here's an opinion about what you're doing for this site from an old Texan's desk: YOU TALK TOO MUCH, and you know it, but you know what- you're a friendly guy, and through the BS I can see you're genuinely interested in helping. You're very tech-minded, eager for information and it shows. I can see it frustrates you to watch people blame the Defiant 3m, for example, when your own testing proves it a winner..but here's what's happening: Lots of folks have neither the time nor the savvy to delve into all of this headfirst at the level that you have done..they're having enough problems just adapting to the new format, let alone with the quirks. They would be tickled to death to just be able to write the files to the card, pop it in their favorite receiver and get a picture. So, whereas you've been able to methodically eliminate various problems, by deductive reasoning and vast amounts of time, patience and technical expertise, not all of us have this advantage available...so that's why Mili strives for a "No BS" script, if you will..one that will load as effortlessly in WinEX as people are used to seeing in ExtremeHU, without hassling over locals, freezing, etc. I know, times have changed, DTV is CMD-ing us to death, and so on. But it's got to be easy on the troops...that's what I was trying to explain last night to an, ahem, member whose name I won't mention, and got two violent PM responses. We can't all be experts, or we wouldn't need these forums..and besides, they're a place to have some good fun, huh, Dennys?
Budreaux, let's just relax, not get too intensive, let other people jump in there and make their mistakes..that's how they learn..and don't worry so much about trying to make programmers out of everyone overnight. (That certainly includes me!) You're always promoting patience, anyway, right? I'll shush for now, but I will say this..you have a good attitude, and lots of people here respect you for that, including myself. Keep up the good work....Chief

I second that, and Budreaux, you have my respect. You do know what you're talking about and I know you mean well.

use EHU to unloop it. thatt's your best bet. Supercleanv3 is good for one clean only in most cases with a 4b. The goog news is that when it does it once, you have also repaired the alt-ee issue. Now go to EHU and load your bin. In defiant, I have found that the glitch 2 actually does a better job that the 4B/generic does. So try that and lets see where you stand.
As far as putting it in your reciever to see that it works and then pulling it and putting it in his , the answer is "yes", defiant script is written so that the card doesn't marry. So, get his card right, check it with your receiver and end it to him, just make sure he does a reboot before putting it in.

Good Luck

A misconception....

Boy I hate doing this....
Technically the card does marry to the IRD even with a 3M....

All cards "marry" to the IRD when they're inserted.... When the program in the EEPROM executes, the bytes are overwritten....
That's a simplified version....

Sorry Mark, but the cards are not marring to the IRD's with defiant. If they are, the script is erasing it somehow. No ird # evershos up either when you read the card after putting it in teh IRD with the Defiant script. Yes, cards do marry with 3M scripts, but defiant isn't.

I posted same time as your mark, sorry, looks like I am disagreeing, but yes, they are being overwritten thru the script.
